I recently listened to an interview on project-management-podcast.com where they discussed the use of social media tools for managing your projects. They report that more and more tools and software programs are being developed to bring the best of both worlds (Project Management methodologies and Social Media networks) together. Are social media tools the answer to increasing communication, collaboration and the integration of all team members for a more successful project? Possibly, but you need to be a trusted PM who’s able to lead your team into the use of these modern tools. If you can get buy-in, participation, and open-mindedness from your project team, you may find increased efficiency of project status reports, task management, and forward momentum.
